Cadillac: the most complete Pilates apparatus
· 1 min read

The Cadillac is one of the most used apparatus in the Pilates Method.
Where it comes from
Joseph Pilates created it to rehabilitate soldiers wounded in the First World War. Bed springs, used as an improvised tool, gave resistance to the movements — a simple and effective way to strengthen and rehabilitate.
What it works
- Muscle strength, flexibility and spine mobility, and it tones.
- The springs resist or assist depending on the exercise: more strength, more endurance, more power.
- It lowers the risk of injury.
Who it is for
It suits people with different problems, such as low-back pain, herniated discs, fibromyalgia or ankylosing spondylitis, because every exercise adapts to the person. It is excellent for rehabilitation and also for strengthening the deep spinal muscles and keeping a good posture.
In our classes we use the wall unit, similar to the Cadillac. With the right guidance you will see it was what your routine was missing.
